What motivates you to do what you do at Eventful?

As a veteran in the industry and a leader at Eventful, I’m inspired by the team we have created, and I really value being able to pass along my experience and cultivate our culture.

What led you to work in events?

At first, it was just a job I happened to land right after I finished studying. I didn’t know where it would take me nor if this industry was for me. However, after starting at one of Australia’s largest conference managers to learn the ropes, I realised that the fast pace, the constant pressure, and the variety in the day made me thrive. It has been a roller coaster ride that I just love!

Was there a specific moment when you knew this was the right industry for you?

I realised this was the place for me when I started working on overseas events. It was my first overseas meeting, in particular, where I led 280 people to Canada for 2 weeks. We flew via LAX, had to change terminals, deal with US customs, all with a very tight flight connection. The group made it seamlessly and went on to see all the hard work put in prior to the event come together for a successful event.
